Colour can also be silence

Between the intensity of Écarlate and the pause of candy beige.

Not every dial needs to speak in the same way. Some compositions concentrate energy in a strong contrast; others slow down attention. Écarlate and the candy beige study occupy distinct positions in this conversation.

In the first, red and black create direction. Irregular edges make the eye travel across the surface, almost as if following a gesture. The rectangular case provides a clear boundary for this agitation.

In the beige study, removing numerals and markers creates a continuous field. The hands, frame and strap texture carry more of the composition. The softness of the colour does not imply less intention.

Visual silence is not emptiness: it is the distribution of attention. At PP Atelier, colour may act as narrative, contrast or interval. Observing two projects side by side reveals not only what changes, but what each one chooses to leave at rest.
