There is a moment when a watch does not yet tell time, but has already begun to say something. The dial is inside the case. Colour has found its place. The hands have not yet arrived. This interval deserves to be documented.
The photograph of Astromélia holds precisely this condition: the object in the hand, the botanical appliqué present, the assembly incomplete. The working environment, the scale of the fingers and the everyday light reveal something that a campaign image is not intended to show.
The digital image, in turn, gathers an intention: how the gold hands may converse with the dial, how green may accompany the natural material, and what atmosphere surrounds the project. It is a tool for conception and communication, not evidence of completion.
To curate this material is to keep both records in dialogue without erasing their differences. Process does not diminish the work; it offers a more attentive way of knowing it. In this archive, the stage of development and the nature of each image remain visible.
